Christmas goes underground

treak-cliffHead underground this Christmas to enjoy a carol concert with a difference at Treak Cliff Cavern in Castleton.

Home to the much prized Blue John stone, the Carols by Candlelight concerts take place in the Witches Cave, where the largest deposit of Blue John stone in the world is still to be found.

The concerts will be held over the weekends of December 15 and 16, and December 22 and 23, at 2pm.

Tickets, priced £9 for adults and £5 for children, must be booked in advance, and include a guided tour of the cave and a complimentary glass of mulled wine and a mince pie.
