A delicious assault on your taste buds!
All our food is freshly prepared by our talented Head Chef Simon Battersby and his team using quality ingredients sourced from a range of local suppliers. Our lunchtime menu includes a great selection of pub classics, sharing platters, hot and cold sandwiches and yummy desserts. A special Fixed Price menu is available Monday-Friday (12pm-2.30pm) with two courses for £10.50 and three courses for £12.95.
The evening menu offers a range of grills, including sirloin, ribeye and T-bone steaks, as well as the much-loved pub classics, sharing platters and some great alternative dishes, such as Braised featherblade of beef with roast onion mash and High Peak belly pork with pork faggot and ham hock bubble and squeak.
On Sundays our menu changes weekly and always includes several traditional Sunday roast options. So forget the cooking and the washing up and come and enjoy a relaxing roast with the family!

Our kitchen hours are: Monday-Friday 12pm-2.30pm and 5pm-8.30pm; Saturday 12pm-9pm and Sunday 12pm-7pm.
We pride ourselves on the quality and range of our traditional cask ales, lagers and ciders and are regularly listed in CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide and The AA’s Good Pub Guide. In Autumn 2016 we were delighted to be awarded CAMRA Pub of The Season for the High Peak, Tameside & East Cheshire region.
Look out for our hoppy house ale Kinder Falldown, brewed specially for us by Happy Valley Brewery in Bollington. Thwaites Original and Wainwright are also regulars on the pumps with other guest ales appearing from all over the country, such as Dark Star Hophead, Howard Town’s Longdendale Lights, Black Sheep and Ringwood Brewery’s Boondoggle.
Also available is a good selection of fine wines, spirits, soft drinks, teas and freshly ground coffees.
